General information

The Navigation Section in StudioCMS is where you organize, view, and manage the pages and structural content of your website. The page presents a hierarchical view of the items and includes quick actions that facilitate adjustments, language management, creation of new content, and searching while browsing.

Structure and content listing

Navigation reading

Identification

  • Name shows the name of each listed page, category, or content.
  • Content Type indicates whether the item is a page, post, category, or other type of content.

Organization

  • Order represents the sequence of presentation in the site's navigation hierarchy.
  • This organization helps maintain a clear and consistent structure throughout the site.

Status

  • Active means that the content is visible on the website.
  • Inactive means that the content is disabled and invisible to users.
  • Published indicates the date the content was published.

Language actions

Multilingual management

From the language button, you can quickly manage the available versions of each piece of content. This area allows you to add a new language, view the page in FrontPage, edit a specific version, replicate the structure for another language, or permanently delete a language version.

Practical utility: This feature greatly simplifies the editing of multilingual content and reduces the number of steps required to manage versions of the same page.

Available options

  • Adding a new language creates the page in the new language without a structure.
  • View page opens the frontpage version.
  • Edit content opens the version in the back office.
  • Replicate language copies the structure and content to the new language.
  • Delete permanently removes the language version.

Daily management

  • Copy allows you to copy the selected page.
  • Duplicate duplicates the page with its respective structure.
  • Delete permanently removes the page.
  • Assign role allows you to assign special permissions to backoffice users.
  • Favorite marks the item as a favorite for quick access on the desktop.

"+" button

  • Pages creates a new page.
  • Category Pages creates a new category page.
  • Publications creates a new publication.

Together, these actions significantly accelerate the creation and structural management of the website.

Search within navigation

Search

  • The Search Field helps you quickly locate any page or item using keywords.

Visualization

  • Record Display allows you to adjust the number of items per page.
  • It's useful for having a broader or more focused view of the navigation.

Interface shortcuts

  • The Home button lets you quickly return to the home screen.
  • The Expand button expands the navigation section to fill the screen.
